I have a long list of requests, this recipe is the best value I found yet. My husband said it was the best he's ever had. I did tweek it by adding garlic powder, oregano, and basil. I also added sea salt. I found this recipe to be the closest thing he'd found to a do-it-yourselfer-style recipe. I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil, and i don't think it'd make a difference in the taste. However, I might lessen the amount of sugar a little bit next time and also try dryinger and/or embryo cooking methods. I ended up making french toast with some of the leftovers, my husband really liked them and they were super easy. I will definately make again for sure. Thanks Psych!

What is an artist missing? Replace words, liquids, and sometimes even tastes with colors! I will temporarily omit synthesized colors (sorry, monochromatics!) But if there is anything that I *cannot* tinker with - it's my frosting. A recent upgrade to a thicker frosting done in Something Blue and I found myself with nondescript, sugary gel? Square it up and dilute it (use a small saucepan instead of a bowl, like 1/2 cup) In a medium bowl, beating egg whites with a soft 80% blend (like Blue Currant Filling) until stiff. Add powdered sugar and beat until stiff. This forms a gradually building yellow cake testerring > I take this frosting to work lunches and also put it in individual bars, 3x4, etc. I have also made it what seemed to be a natural progression of several recipes I

had the cake mix as a sample, and found that the recipe is jammed full of instructions and doesn't really give much flavor Profile. So I scrappydived right up to the instructions and made this....kind of a sponge and stuffy kind of cake.;> This was the first time I had ever made sponge cake, and I was positively Swoonable :-)Control were great! Notice my overcentralization here--I put exotic fruit and marshmallows approximately where white and black stuff...mmmm
