Orange Fougasse Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups yellow bananas

3 bananas, peeled and pitted

1 pint orange juice

1/2 cup orange juice concentrate

1 3/4 cups water

1 tablespoon orange zest

50 Swiss cheese slices, cubed

Directions

In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine red bananas, bananas, orange juice concentrate, water, orange zest, and cheese. Bring to a boil.

Returnpan to medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until bananas are evenly browned, about 35 minutes. Cool bananas completely and transfer to a large bowl with the pits removed.

Pour orange zest and orange juice mixture over bananas. Blend in grape juice. Heat through and allow to cool slightly. Serve in banana butter or margarine w/ sugar glaze, as desired.
