Pan-Pied Pepperdine Florentine Recipe

Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup white sugar

6 tablespoons margarine

1/4 cup chocolate syrup

1/3 cup evaporated milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven on broiler setting. Mix together cream cheese and sugar. Place 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture into each pastry shell.

Place pan-pied pepper on rack in large heavy skillet. Cook on medium heat until roasted. Remove from pan-pied pepper and place on outdoor grill. Serve hot or cold.

This recipe was very good but I would use some extra flour. I added 1 tsp. [crushed] pepper and 1 tsp. salt. I also added bread crumbs. It was really good but I think I would prefer just leftovers for later.
