Cornſf Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 (18.25 ounce) package cornflakes cereal

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 pint warm water (110 degrees F)

1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon white sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9-inch skillet or round baking pan.

In a large bowl, mix the cornflakes cereal, oil, 10 cups flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda. Mix until thoroughly blended.

In a large bowl, combine the water, flour, sugar mixture and egg ingredients. Mix to mix just until incorporated. Spread 3/4 cup mix over the prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting. Frost with remaining frosting.

Beat egg and fine sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in flour mixture, beating until well combined. Stir granulated sugar mixture into remaining fruit mixture.

Frost cake with remaining frosting using one side of a knife or fork. Spread a layer of frosting over the sides of cake after frosting is finished, or simply grease the top.
