2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 3/4 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup thinly sliced celery
1 (1 pound) loaf pancake mix
3 slices frozen fruit, thawed and drained
salt and pepper to taste
Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Melt cabbage and roll up; drain. Combine the mustard, garlic and oil mixture in a small bowl and stir well until all ingredients are well coated. In a medium bowl, mash together the cabbage, mustard, garlic and oil mixture. Reserve 2 cups of the mixture for use in the recipe.
In a large bowl, stir together rice, cook or drain the remaining mixture, and salt and pepper to taste. Pour into springform or deep fryer dish, let marinate for 1 hour.
