1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup white sugar
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and butter. Beat in milk, egg and vanilla until smooth. Stir in pecans. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack for 1 hour.
