Iowa Cornbread Pie VIII Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups white sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 cup cornflakes cereal

1 cup cooked school breakfast sausage

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed

1 egg

1/2 cup milk

1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, bacon bits, bacon grease, butter or margarine, cornflakes cereal, sausage, breakfast sausage, green pepper, egg, milk, vinegar and salt. Mix just until until moistened.

Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch pan or casserole dish. Cut a few slits in layers to allow steam to escape. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 50 minutes. Cool

We had to go to a dinner and my husband wanted to try out the recipe. So I kept it in my collection. He said it was verry good.  It wasn't what he expected which was a mystery to me. But I'll keep it for sure.
