1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large onion, chopped
2 cups seeded and chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup sliced green olives
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Combine the milk, oil, onion, tomatoes, green olives, black pepper and olives; mix well.
Arrange the squash in a greased 8x8 inch baking dish. Spread slices of bread to enclose the squash and fill with tomato sauce.
Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, until squash is tender. Serve meat in the dish or with salad dressing or cheese.
