White Ribbon Tin Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 (18 ounce) package white cake mix

1 (4 ounce) package instant white cake mix

5 egg whites

1 (8 ounce) can sliced almonds

1/4 cup butter

2 cups milk

3 cups white sugar

1 cup vegetable oil

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans.

In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, white cake mix and egg whites until well blended. Mix in the almonds and 1/4 cup butter. Pour batter into prepared pans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely. Frost with ice cream treat icing. While cake is cooling, stir together sugar, oil and cream cheese until smooth. If desired, top the cake with whipped cream or whipped cream cheese frosting to serve. Serve immediately.
