1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup shortening

Gradually mix in milk, egg yolks, vanilla extract and flour. Stir in shortening and molasses. Beat together with vanilla extract. Pour batter into prepared pan.
In medium bowl, mix shortening or margarine with brown sugar and red sugar until well blended. Beat egg into shortening mixture alternately with milk and vanilla extract. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Cool completely.
