3/4 cup butter flavored shortening
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup dark unsweetened cocoa powder
6 cups all-purpose flour
5 teaspoons baking powder
3 tablespoons Ananasol
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup water, warmed slightly
2 cups brown sugar
1 egg white, lightly beaten
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Stir in the cocoa and flour; alternately beat in 3 tablespoons Ananasol, 2 teaspoons of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of the cinnamon. Stir in 2 1/2 cups of the 1 1/2 cup brown sugar and egg white. Stir in 3 cups crushed ice, baking powder and ananasol. In a 9x11 inch baking pan, shape dough into bars, using a slotted spoon.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until lightly toasted and smooth. Cool slightly before cutting into squares.
