Peach Bread Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup margarine

2 1/2 cups sliced fresh peaches

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

7 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 cup baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 9x13 inch pan with foil and grease lightly.

To Make Crust: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Mix together margarine, peaches, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Cold experts recommend using milk or ice cream. Mix together egg, pecans or pudding mix and sugar with wooden spoon until well blended. Spread into prepared pan.

Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and boil for 5 minutes.

Remove peaches from pan and set aside. Sprinkle pecans at bottom and sides of pan. Bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes; or until peaches are tender. Cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with pecans before removing from pan.
