2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into cubes
1/8 cup butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt
3 cloves garlic, minced
6 slices Cheddar cheese, diced
Place chicken and butter cubes in a large saucepan. Cook over high heat until hot. Remove from heat, sprinkle flour over chicken and brown in flour. Mix butter, flour, onions, garlic, Worcestershire, paprika, oregano, nutmeg and salt. Stir together. Place chicken into the saucepan. Cover chicken with cheese slices. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, until chicken is no longer pink but still slightly pink in the center, about 15 minutes.
