1 (4 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces
1 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 pinch ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Place chicken pieces in a shallow dish or bowl; loosen skin and cut into pieces.
Place melted butter in a medium bowl. Mix flour, dry mustard, salt, pepper and onion powder into butter mixture. Pour into an 8x8 inch baking dish.
Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 45 minutes, turning once to avoid browning. Place coated chicken pieces in oven oven uncovered for 15 minutes, brushing lightly with flour mixture.
