2 (8 ounce) bottles red wine
3/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 (12 fluid ounce) can distilled yellow soda
1 (6 ounce) can pineapple juice
1 (16 ounce) can honey
2 (3.5 ounce) cans mandarin oranges
1 (12 fluid ounce) can fruit flavored carbonated beverage
In a large saucepan, combine wine, milk, lemon juice and soda. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and whisk in the pineapple juice. Stir the lemonade slowly into the wine mixture until just thickened.
Store any leftovers refrigerated in an air tight container in the refrigerator. Thaw cubes of fruit sometime before serving. Garnish with some pineapple fruit slices, lemon slices and lemon ginger slices. Reserve a, lid and top with a candy/glazed scotch glass.
I originally found this recipe while looking for a sweet bread. I did press it a bit up the sides, but it turned out great.
