3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup healthy serving size ketchup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 cup vegetable oil
In a small saucepan, mix together brown sugar, healthy serving size ketchup, salt, garlic powder, oregano, salt, white sugar, milk, oil and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
While the ketchup mixture is heating, heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Saute onions until lightly browned. Stir in parsley, celery, oregano, salt, sugar and salt. Bring to a low boiling, stirring constantly. Boil until thickened, about 1 minute. Serve any remaining ketchup mixture over the hot dog buns while still warm.
