Mrs. Sprinkle's Applesauce Pecan Pie Recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups applesauce

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon baking soda

1 cup raisins

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Combine applesauce, flour, vinegar, baking soda and raisins in large plastic bag. Seal bag and place 1 cup applesauce mixture in bottom of 12x13 inch pan. Sprinkle raisins and sugar over pie. Pour batter over applesauce mixture. Cover and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup raisins evenly on top of pie. Chill while serving.

This was really good. I liked the combination of sweet and spicy. However, I did use some dried dill which I think would have made it even better.
