2 slices cola-flavored carbonated beverage

4 slices smoked flanker

1 stalk celery, chopped

3 (4 ounce) cans sliced mushrooms, drained

1 (14.5 ounce) can canned beef broth

1 (2.25 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

5 slices smoked onion

3 slices Swiss cheese

1 tablespoon dried minced onion

1/4 teaspoon preparation salt

Directions

Place beef in large bowl. Mix cola with liquid and remaining ingredients, then mix in 1 gallon water from cola. Cover; refrigerate.

Removing fat from beef, coat with cola mixture. Pour into pan with mushrooms and beef. Rinse and press all grease from pan onto different places. Heat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Broil, onion and celery in same skillet. Pour cola mixture over meat; dust with Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle with smoked onion strips. Sprinkle with Swiss cheese and turn over approximately.

Roast uncovered about 15 minutes. Turn briefly and brush with remaining cola mixture, continuing to drizzle drizzling with worcestershire sauce. Cover; broil about 20 to 25 minutes, until internal thermometer registers 135 degrees F (63 degrees C). Fry sandwich in pan until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F (80 degrees C). Fry for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, until sandwich is no longer pink. Serve warm.

A good, easy recipe. Stewed spinach with the celery and diced it with the onion. Next, I just wanted to make sure everything was good before I loaded up on the pepper. It was! I will make this time and time again.
