1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
2 tablespoons Italian-style seasoning
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 onion, diced
1 pound Italian sausage, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 (10 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes with juice
1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes, with juice
1/4 cup white wine
1 (1 ounce) package Italian bread stuffing mix
Place chicken on a plastic food dish. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, then place in plastic bag and seal. Lay chicken on plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
In a slow cooker, place seasoned chicken, sausage and garlic. Season the chicken with Italian garlic seasoning, place in bag and seal.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Coat chicken with water and cook 10 minutes on each side, turning once. Remove chicken from pan. Place coated chicken on warm plates.
To the chicken add tomatoes with juice, tomatoes, wine, tomato stuffing mix, bread stuffing mix. Cover and cook 20 minutes on each side.
Remove chicken from pan and place in the refrigerator.
Slow cook the stuffing until very light. When done, spoon over chicken.
Broil chicken breasts for 5 minutes to 1 minute in the broiler pan, turning once. Serve with tomato sauce.
