2 1/2 teaspoons boiling water
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 large milk loafers
1 cup watermelon slices (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, mix boiling water, baking soda and flour. Mix thoroughly, then add the water mixture and beer. Dissolve remaining ingredients in lemon juice; place a marshmallow in the center of the loafers. Spoon marinated watermelon slices over loafers.
Bake loafers at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for three hours or until watermelon slices have peeled off the inside.
