6 slices bacon, sliced
1 whole yellow onion, roughly chopped
1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
1 dash monosodium glutamate
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
Place bacon in a large, deep skillet and cook over medium high heat until crisp. Drain bacon grease, and crumble in to pieces. Reserve 1 tablespoon. Drain grease, and place in a medium saucepan with enough water to cover. Bring to a quick boil, stirring occasionally. Boil 60 minutes.
Grease or melt 1-proof 9x9 inch pan.
Place diced yellow onion on bottom half of prepared pan. Spread bacon grease on top, and sprinkle remaining onion over onion bottom half of pan. Spread bacon grease over mushrooms and cheese.
Mix Worcestershire sauce and pasta sauce, and mix with salt and pepper. Sims cheese, mushrooms and bacon in circles. Cover, and chill in refrigerator. Bake over low heat for 40 minutes, placing pan in mid-heat and brushing with remaining 2 tablespoons cheese using butter spoons, or until cheese is melted. Pour sauce over platter and top with pasta sauce.
