1 cup butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon white sugar for decoration (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 10x15 inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the lemon zest.
Spread evenly into the prepared pan. Dust with leftover lemon zest.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Cool completely.
