1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
1 cup water
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 (16 ounce) container honey
Heat the vegetable oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir to coat. Place onions and water in the pan and let cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add the garlic and yeast, salt and honey; mix well. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
While the onions and water are boiling, melt butter in a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Stir in the water and onions; cook for 1 minute.
Lower the heat to medium. Stir in the flour and salt; cook for 2 minutes, or until the mixture is sticky.
