1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked
2 eggs
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 (15 ounce) can green beans, drained with liquid reserved
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 cup vegetable oil for frying
1/3 cup caster salt
1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and juice reserved
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, beat eggs, butter or margarine, flour, salt and green beans in food processor or blender. Mix in cream cheese, sugar and egg.
In a medium bowl, mix vegetable oil, egg mixture and salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Sprinkle the mixture over baked pie.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
