1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and baking soda; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, egg and salt. Beat in milk, stirring just until incorporated. Stir in vanilla extract. Mix together the flour mixture and 1/2 cup of the flour mixture, then blend with the whipped cream. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and place them into the greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cookie comes out clean. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
