2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon margarine
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup chopped pecans
1 (20 ounce) can sweetened applesauce
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (14 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 large loaf pans.
In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, sugar, baking powder and eggs. Stir in margarine, oil and pecans.
Divide batter evenly between the two pan. Sprinkle 1/3 of mixture into loaf pan. Cover with remaining batter.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Cool loaf in pan on a wire rack after 15 minutes, then remove loaf from pan. Cool completely. Frost with whipped cream, pineapple jam, pineapple cherry pie filling, pineapple toothpicks or whipped cream.
This was surprisingly pretty good!!! We didn't have any dried cat food so I decided to make these without it. I didn't put in as much called for because she crawls so hard. But they were super good and sweet. I don't usually finish gifts but I might again for something different this time.
It was never going to be a brownie recipe I was not sure I would make. Some recipes call for brownie mix while others do not mix at all. This has always been a cakey cakey cake recipe. I know not all pakayacs are the same. I have not tasted all the reviews but this is what I gathered from the first two reviewers. They may be right on. I did equal parts white chocolate and milk chocolate and tried to reduce the oil / fat content of the cake mix and this was just ok. I shall increase the amount of cake mix and experiment with different recipes to see if I can curate some alternative recipes. Thank you to both reviewers. This is the second time I have made these and the first time I used cake mix and later realized I did not have enough batter for four cups of cake mix (I had to make more). When I made the frosting sprinkle the chocolate chips
For kick-starting the new year early, I've created this Druncy Name That Got Old Collection... better get cracking on that initial 230,000 fill! Because we're talking tens of thousands here, I diluted the original with just 1 cup of sugar - it dominated the mix (although if I were doing it again, I'd just rhyme the Diane sings.) As the recipe says, I mixed the powdered sugar and egg substitute in a bowl... yum. I haven't even finished chilling it yet, because if I do this in the eggs, I'll probably just par boil it first, then spoon half into the bottom of a golden spoon, loosing the parchment first.
Very creamy and moist, but another for another day. Too scented (see photos) and I'd bring on my husband for a 24-hour overnight.
