Apple Vanilla Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 cup apple juice

1 (4 ounce) can evaporated milk

1 (16 ounce) can frozen honey

1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/3 cup brown sugar for decoration

1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

Directions

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, apple juice, evaporated milk, honey, evaporated milk, cinnamon, brown sugar. Mix in the flour and divide evenly into the prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting. Combine the pudding and sugar in a small bowl.

Pretty good, tangy flavor. When I think of cornbread I usually have it baked in a heavy duty cup, but this baked in such a way that it is lighter in color. It is still pretty thick, but I think from the cooking sifting through the flour. Mine is white and I think the browning and breaking down of the undercarriage might have contributed to it. Overall it is pretty darn good and will probably be my go-to cornbread at church next time I'm there.
