1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup honey
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Glad you have an oven.
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add eggs and mix until slightly thickened; stir constantly until eggs are cooked. Remove from heat.
In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and flour, beating until light and fluffy. Stir in butter and oil. Mix in sugar mixture, stirring well.
Pour 1/3 cup of the flour mixture into the egg mixture, stirring just until incorporated. Stir in honey. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of bread comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a serving plate and cool completely.
