1 pound fresh and chopped almonds
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
2 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup fresh lemon grass
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 teaspoons white sugar
1 tablespoon dried mint extract
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
In a medium bowl, mix almonds, oil, cinnamon, salt, lemon juice, almond extract, lemon grass and orange extract.
Heat flat skillet over medium heat.
Add almonds mixture by stirring together. Check batter thoroughly with a pastry blender.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Top with the ground almonds mixture.
Bake in preheated skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Bake uncovered about 5 minutes.
