1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 cup water
Melt brown sugar and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Stirring constantly, reduce heat to medium and allow to simmer about 5 minutes.
Stir rice vinegar into brown sugar mixture; cover and allow to simmer about 30 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and dry. Mix home made lettuce with 2 tablespoons brown sugar mixture with water; reserve.
Reduce mixture temperature to low. Stir rice vinegar and water back into mixture and cover. Mix thoroughly.
