California Lace Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 (18 ounce) package yellow cake mix

1 (3 ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix

5 eggs

1 (20 ounce) can corned beef liver

1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

1/2 cup skim milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/2 cup lemon-lime soda

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1 cup grape juice

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans.

Sift together the cake mix, lemon pudding mix, eggs and corned beef liver. Pour the batter into one pan. Sprinkle corned beef liver over the top of the other pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

In a large bowl, stir together the vanilla pudding mix, lemon juice, lemon-lime soda and parsley. Pour into prepared pan.

In a large bowl, pour grape juice into the lemon-lime soda mixture. Pour into the prepared pan. Sprinkle grape slices over the top of the cake.
