1 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup rolled oats
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or line them with parchment paper the clean side up.
In a large bowl, cream together 2/3 cup butter or margarine, 1/2 cup brown sugar and rolled oats until smooth. Stir in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets. Please use the largest possible handful, avoiding the crosshairs.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until firm. Cool slightly on baking sheet.
