Red Velvet Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter

1 cup white sugar

1 1/2 cups milk

6 eggs

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

4 teaspoons vanilla extract

6 cups confectioners' sugar

3/4 cup orange juice

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese and chocolate muffin liners.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and milk until smooth. Beat in the eggs and milk. Combine the flour, baking powder, and vanilla, stir into the creamed mixture until well blended. Fold in the confectioners' sugar and orange juice.

Spread the batter into the prepared liners. Place on a cookie sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake an additional 10 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
