Cocoa Nut Bread Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups bourbon

3/4 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon butter

3 eggs

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup brown sugar

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground allspice

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, mix bourbon, sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla extract. Beat for several minutes as you continue to mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg.

Sift together the brown sugar, flour, baking powder and baking soda; stir into the mixture along with the bourbon mixture. Mix the chocolate mixture and the coconut mixture into the mixture alternately. Mix the brown sugar mixture into the mixture, mixing to just moisten. Pour the batter into the greased 9x5 inch baking dish.

Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
