1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup dry mustard
1 cup hot wine
1 cup lemon juice
3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
3 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup beef broth
In a small bowl, mix 1 cup olive oil, dry mustard, hot wine, lemon juice, vinegar, sugar, salt, red pepper, Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. Chill overnight.
Meanwhile, place a portion of the sauce in a heavy glass dish or resealable plastic bag. Add enough water to cover sauce completely. Cover, and refrigerate overnight.
While sauce is chilling, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add mustard, hot wine, lemon juice, vinegar, sugar, salt and crushed pepper. Stir. Cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
Stir sauce into barbecue sauce. Cover, and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from refrigerator, and pour into large serving bowl.
