1 cup butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup white sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 9 inch round pans.
Beat butter, 2 cups sugar, eggs and vanilla extract into a small medium bowl. Stir flour into butter mixture. Stir in cocoa, oil, sugar, cocoa, vanilla and chopped walnuts. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place onto unprepared pans. Spread filling between the two sides of the pans.
Bake as directed on package. Cool completely. Garnish with pecans and nuts, if desired.
