2 tablespoons milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter
1 tablespoon honey
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mix the milk, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and butter.
In a medium bowl, beat egg and brown sugar together. Beat in remaining milk mixture. Fold in vanilla. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
I was afraid this would be way too sweet. It tasted good, and I liked the pineapple. But it dried up pretty quickly.
