1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
1 (16 ounce) can pepperjack cheese, diced
Combine the butter, onion, paprika, mustard powder, salt and mushrooms in a medium bowl.
Press about 1 teaspoon of the mixture in the center of each leaf of pita bread, securing the edges with small egg whites. Spread about 1/4 cup cheese on each leaf.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until pita breads are golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Serve hot or cold.
