Apple Cinnamon Merlot Pie Recipe

Ingredients

2 (3 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix

2 eggs

2 cups milk

1 1/2 cups applesauce

1 cup white sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch square pan.

In a large bowl, combine pudding mix, eggs, milk, applesauce and sugar. Beat until blended. Pour into 9 inch square pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, until bubbles burst in center. Then reduce temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake an additional 30 minutes.

I loved this bread. It was simple to make and tasty. I kept the eggnog optional but I think I would have preferred if it were a little thicker. More like bread than a biscuit, which is how I like my biscuits. I used dried relish and just broke them down at the end. So far, so good.
