1 cup white sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened lemonade-
1 small orange, peeled, sectioned, and cut in quarters
2 tablespoons butter
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed (optional)
In a saucepan mix together sugar, lemonade, and orange segments. Bring to a boil, reduced temperature to low, and simmer about 5 minutes; stirring occasionally. Serve over ice. To serve 1 1/3 of the pies: flip the oven off, and slice bread into 4 slices. Spoon 1 tablespoon of the liquid into each slice. Spread remaining liquid over slices, and repeat the above steps on the remaining bread slices. Freeze covered for 3 months, thaw 3 months, and freeze again.
