1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
3 egg whites
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 (12 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups butter or margarine
1 (8 ounce) can lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
1 (6 ounce) can sliced bananas, drained
1 cup chopped pecans
In a large glass or metal bowl, beat egg whites until foamy; add sugar, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour mixture into graham cracker crust.
In a large glass or metal bowl, beat pudding mix until stiff peaks form. Beat butter and lemon-lime soda until blended. Strain mixture into graham cracker crust.
Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle dessert topping on top of crust. Cool completely. Chill or freeze until serving.
