1 1/2 cups whole peeled peaches
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 quart milk
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round pie pans.
Pour peaches into the pie pans. In a mixing bowl, mix sugar, vanilla, butter, milk, eggs, vanilla and lemon zest. Pour mixture into prepared pans.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely. Cool completely, and refrigerate.
