2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups evaporated milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup milk
Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C). Grease one 9x9 inch pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the whipped cream, butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until light. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the melted butter, mixing just enough to smooth. Stir in the chocolate liqueur. Fold in the evaporated milk until well mixed. Transfer to the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 75 to 80 minutes. Cool completely. Let cool to room temperature with waxed paper. Fill pastries with rich chocolate sauce or milk.
This was easy and made enough for a cup of coffee. I did use the dark chocolate chips instead of the regular cocoa powder and I put in a can of drained cranberries instead of the raspberries. I also added 8 drops of orange zest and 4 drops of sparkling wine. It turned out great! Next time I might put in a little more chocolate chips, but I didn't have any to start with and it was a complete mess to do it over. Thanks for the great recipe, I enjoyed it!
works really well with chocolate chips, adds a nice texture!
