2 1/2 cups white sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons milk
2 1/2 cups canned sweet potatoes
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease or spray a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, mix sugar, cornstarch and butter. Beat with milk and paste until smooth. Mix in sweet potatoes. Pour mixture into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) Bake for 45 minutes. Raise oven temperature to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) Bake for 5 more minutes.
Center cut side up on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes and to allow pot to cool completely. Invert onto serving platter and cool completely before removing from pan. Serve hot.
