Lemon White Pie VIII Recipe

Ingredients

1 (18.75 ounce) can fruit preserves

1 1/2 cups white sugar

1 1/4 cups lemon juice

1 cup lemon-lime soda

1/2 cup lemon-lime flavoring mix

1 cup orange juice

1 (4 ounce) can sliced lemon rind

3 (8 ounce) packages strawberry flavored Jell-O

1 1/2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar

2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 (3 ounce) package strawberry jelly beans

1 (.50 ounce) package strawberry gelatin

2 cups milk

4 raisins

1 cup sliced strawberries

Directions

Combine fruit preserves and white sugar in large bowl. Stir in lemon juice, lemon-lime soda, lemon-lime flavoring mix, orange juice, lemon rind, strawberry flavored gelatin and milk.

Heat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Divide pie dough into 12 equal sections. Roll each section into an 8 inch square. Place 2 onto ungreased (nonstick) baking sheets. Using 4 or 5 icing pieces, swirl and fill each section with 1 lemon rind syrups. Trim edge from filling. Brush each pastry with apple cider vinegar, covering completely.

Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until toothpick inserted in center of each pie comes out clean. Let cool for at least 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Cool in refrigerator. Fill pie with strawberry jelly beans and frost with lemon jelly. Cool before removing from refrigerator. Garnish with sliced strawberries and a flower of your choice.

So glad people gave it a second try. I added some sugars and some whole milk (to thin it). Moved away from vanilla due to how it turned out. I might trynd it again with brown sugar in a little milk.
