1 teaspoon salt
3 (1 ounce) squares unsalted butter
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

3/4 cup white sugar

1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, whisk eggs, baking powder, brown sugar, onion, flour, butter, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon white sugar, salt, 3 tablespoons butter, brown sugar, lemon zest and lemon zest into a large bowl. Mix in raisins and walnuts. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Cool loaf in the pan for 15 minutes and remove from pan. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
