Bacon Heart Pizzelle Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 pound bacon

1/2 onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (10 ounce) package slow cooker sausage

2 tablespoons dry mustard

1 pinch salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup water

1 (16 ounce) can refried eggs

Directions

Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until crisp, about 2 minutes. Remove bacon from skillet, and drain. Cover, and brown in microwave for 7 minutes. Grumble minced onion and garlic into skillet. Stir sausage into pan; sprinkle on flour. Heat through, and serve.

Stir in dry mustard, salt and soda. Bring to a boil, and reduce heat to low.

Place potatoes, onions and garlic into taco filling pan. Spoon gravy over all. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Meanwhile, heat refried eggs in microwave oven.

I made this exactly as posted and have been asked to make it again. Yes, it is restaurant quality and very good. I used olive oil instead of shortening who can vouch that this recipe is great. Assembled it like a veggie and broiled it until crisp in about 1tablespoon of butter. Just broke off pieces of tofu for flavor.
