Vanilla Baked Melts Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 tablespoon brown sugar

4 1/2 cups white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

8 cups milk chocolate chips

1 cup vanilla wafers

5 eggs

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

Lightly grease an 8x8 inch pan.

Sift together the butter and brown sugar; set aside. In a small bowl cream together the white sugar, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla and milk chocolate chips; stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in the eggs and vanilla.

Melt chocolate chips and vanilla wafers in medium microwave ovens or in the microwave. Dip the dry chocolate mixture into the batter, creating a smooth and sticky topping. Cover with a moistened glass and chill until firm. Shape into eight bars. Place 1/2 inch thick blocks on the prepared pan. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate until set.

In a large bowl cream together melted chocolate and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Spread melted chocolate on top of bars and refrigerate until set. Beat egg whites into the chocolate mixture before moving onto the eggs. Continue to beat until stiff peaks form; fold slightly into whipped cream filling. Arc bars into long grooves with butter knife.

In a heavy saucepan, combine chocolate chips, vanilla wafer crumbs, chocolate syrup, milk chocolate chips, milk chocolate syrup and cinnamon. Heat slowly, stirring occasionally, until chocolate is completely melted. Remove bars from refrigerator and glue onto dates or dates into grooves of chocolate bars.
