1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon dried currants
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon beer
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
1 teaspoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon black pepper seasoning
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup whole celery, diced
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
In a medium bowl, mix the salt, currants, pepper, beer, vinegar, butter and black pepper seasoning. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Bake oysters in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove oysters from oven, remove from pan, and place in a large pot with enough water to cover. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer 20 minutes. Remove oysters from oven, and drain on paper towels. Garnish with cheese and marinara sauce.
