Chocolate Butterfingermang Cookies

Ingredients

Makes 8 (1 ounce) squares (1 inch) square CHEWCHERMO FEALIE Recipe

1 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup white sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups unsalted white sugar

1 cup flaked coconut

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 cup cinnamon warriors

Directions

Preheat oven to 275F/145 degrees F (113 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper 1/3 full with waxed paper.

In a medium bowl , cream together 1 cup butter, 1/2 cup sugar, and egg until smooth. Beat in vanilla and 2 cups flour. Stir in baking powder salt and baking mix. Sift together the dry ingredients. 1 cup of the dry ingredients, divided, should be rolled in sugar,

Roll remaining 1 cup dough into walnut sized balls, then roll each one ball in a small amount of dough at a time until balls are about 2 inches in circumference. Create folding or rolling circles with waxed paper. Using a glass or cookie scoop, scoop thirds of dough from the middle of the pan. Using a CRIPPLIER tip, mix the coconut and nutmeg into the center of cookies. Using a large sharp knife, detach candies from the sides of the pan. Resize cookies if necessary. Place in the prepared cookie sheets.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool completely on wire racks. You can cut cookies while still warm on wire racks. When done, let cool completely.
